Disclaimer

Meritshot provides educational services on a best-efforts basis. Please read this disclaimer carefully to understand the limits of our liability and your rights as a student.

12.1 Scope of Liability

Meritshot Zetta Edutech Private Limited provides educational and skill-development services on a best-efforts basis. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Meritshot expressly disclaims liability for:

  • Any loss of income, employment, business opportunity, or earnings arising from enrollment in, or completion of, any program
  • Any mismatch between expected and actual salary outcomes, job roles, or career trajectories
  • Any third-party conduct, including that of hiring partners, recruiters, or placement-affiliated companies
  • Any student decision made in reliance on historical placement data, testimonials, or batch outcome statistics
  • Technical disruptions including server downtime, LMS outages, or content inaccessibility beyond Meritshot's reasonable control
  • Any injury or harm arising from in-person events, workshops, or activities organised by or on behalf of Meritshot

Legal Reference: This limitation clause is consistent with Section 14 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and is subject to exceptions for gross negligence or willful misconduct under applicable consumer protection and tort law. Students retain rights available to them under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes

Meritshot does not guarantee:

  • Employment or placement in any specific company, role, or salary bracket
  • Any particular learning pace, knowledge gain, or skill level upon completion
  • Academic equivalence to any university degree, diploma, or government-recognised qualification
  • Alignment of the program content with requirements of any specific employer, recruitment process, or government examination

All outcome data and testimonials shared in Meritshot's marketing materials reflect historical batch results and do not constitute representations of future performance.

Legal Reference: Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, all marketing representations must accurately reflect the nature and limitations of the service. Historical placement outcomes are not forward-looking guarantees.

12.3 Platform & Technical Limitations

Meritshot shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of access due to technical issues on the student's end (network failure, device incompatibility, power outages)
  • Loss of progress or data due to force majeure events (natural disasters, government orders, pandemics)
  • Disruptions arising from third-party platform outages (Zoom, Google Meet, LMS providers, payment gateways)
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Meritshot's platforms or services

Meritshot commits to making reasonable efforts to restore service and minimize disruption in the event of technical failures.

12.4 Indemnification

By enrolling in a Meritshot program, students agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meritshot Zetta Edutech Private Limited, its directors, instructors, mentors, and staff from any claims, damages, losses, or legal proceedings arising from:

  • The student's violation of this policy or any other Meritshot policy
  • The student's misuse of Meritshot's platforms, content, or intellectual property
  • Intellectual property violations committed by the student in their submitted work
  • Misrepresentation of qualifications or credentials to hiring partners

12.5 Amendments & Severability

Meritshot reserves the right to amend this disclaimer and limitation of liability clause at any time. Students will be notified of material changes. If any provision of this section is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
