Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
What Meritshot does not guarantee, and the limits of our liability. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
This section sets out the scope of Meritshot's liability to students and third parties in connection with the programs and services offered by the institute. Students are advised to read this section carefully as it defines important limitations on legal claims.
12.1 No Guarantee of Outcomes
Meritshot does not warrant or guarantee any specific learning outcome, career outcome, salary level, or employment placement as a result of completing a program. While the institute makes every effort to deliver high-quality instruction, prepare students for employment, and facilitate access to hiring partners, the following are expressly disclaimed:
- Guarantee of employment or job placement with any specific company or in any specific role.
- Guarantee of a minimum or target salary package.
- Guarantee of visa, work permit, or relocation support for opportunities in any jurisdiction.
- Guarantee of promotions, increments, or career advancement in a student's existing organization.
12.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meritshot Zetta Edutech Private Limited, its directors, officers, faculty, staff, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from a student's participation in or withdrawal from any program.
- Loss of employment, loss of income, or loss of business opportunity allegedly resulting from reliance on program content, instructor advice, or placement outcomes.
- Technical failures, system downtime, or data loss affecting the LMS, assessment platform, or communication tools used in the delivery of the program.
- Actions, omissions, or decisions of third-party hiring partners, NBFC lenders, or technology service providers.
Legal Reference: This limitation of liability clause is governed by the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Nothing in this clause limits Meritshot's liability for death or personal injury caused by the institute's negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct, which cannot be excluded by contract under Indian law. Students retain their statutory rights as consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
