Policy Update Clause

This document represents the current version of Meritshot's Student Policies and Guidelines. Students are expected to stay informed of any updates communicated through official channels. All policies are subject to revision to ensure alignment with applicable law, regulatory requirements, and institutional best practices.

7.1 Right to Modify

Meritshot Zetta Edutech Private Limited reserves the right to modify, amend, update, or supplement any aspect of these policies — including but not limited to eligibility criteria, assessment structures, attendance requirements, placement processes, and academic guidelines — at any time, whenever required for any of the following reasons:

  • Operational changes — updates to program delivery methods, scheduling, or administrative processes.
  • Academic reasons — revisions to curriculum design, assessment formats, or certification requirements in response to evolving educational standards.
  • Industry-related purposes — adjustments necessitated by changes in hiring practices, market demands, or feedback from hiring partners.
  • Regulatory compliance — modifications required to align with applicable educational, legal, or governmental regulations, including changes to the IT Act, Consumer Protection Rules, data protection frameworks, or NSDC/NSQF guidelines.
  • Judicial or quasi-judicial orders — compliance with directions issued by courts, tribunals, or regulatory bodies having jurisdiction over the institute's activities.

7.2 Student Responsibility

By enrolling in any Meritshot program, students acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • They have read, understood, and accepted all policies and guidelines as documented in this handbook at the time of enrollment.
  • They will remain informed of any policy updates communicated through official Meritshot channels, including email notifications, LMS announcements, or direct communication from the academic team.
  • Continued participation in the program following the communication of any policy update will constitute implied acceptance of the revised policy, in the same manner as continuing to use a service following a terms-of-service update.
  • It is the student's responsibility to regularly review the latest version of this policy document as published on the Meritshot website or LMS portal.

Note: For queries related to any policy, students are encouraged to reach out to their assigned academic coordinator or contact the institute at support@meritshot.com.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This section governs the legal framework applicable to the relationship between Meritshot Zetta Edutech Private Limited and its enrolled students. All disputes arising out of or in connection with enrollment, program delivery, or these policies will be resolved in accordance with the terms set out below.

13.1 Governing Law

These Student Policies and Guidelines, and the relationship between Meritshot and its students, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. In particular, the following statutes are relevant to the interpretation and enforcement of these policies:

  • The Indian Contract Act, 1872 — governing the contractual relationship between the institute and the student.
  • The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 — governing the rights of students as consumers of educational services.
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 — governing electronic transactions, digital records, and cyber conduct.
  • The Copyright Act, 1957 — governing the protection of course materials and student-created works.
  • The Indian Penal Code, 1860 — applicable to conduct involving fraud, forgery, harassment, or defamation.
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — governing the collection and processing of personal data once operationalized.

13.2 Jurisdiction

Any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these policies, the program enrollment agreement, or the student-institute relationship shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, unless the student elects to pursue a consumer claim before the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, in which case the rules of that forum shall govern jurisdiction.

13.3 Dispute Resolution — Mediation First

Prior to initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution of the dispute through the following process:

  • Informal negotiation — the student and the institute will first attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through direct communication within 15 days of the dispute arising.
  • Mediation — if informal negotiation fails, either party may refer the dispute to a mutually agreed mediator, or to the mediation services of the Noida District Mediation Centre, for a non-binding mediation attempt within 30 days.
  • Arbitration — if mediation is unsuccessful, disputes involving a claim value above Rs. 1,00,000 may, by mutual written agreement, be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual consent. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Legal Reference: Nothing in this dispute resolution clause prevents a student from exercising their rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, by filing a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission at the district, state, or national level. Consumer forum proceedings may run concurrently with or in lieu of the dispute resolution process described above, at the student's election.

13.4 Language

These policies are drafted and published in the English language. In the event of any conflict between an English version of these policies and any translation or summary provided for informational purposes, the English language version shall prevail.
